Asians in Britain Media

Brand identity and visual assets all from scratch.

As the name suggests, Asians In Britain (AIB) is a  social media platform that tells stories of Asians living in the UK, to inspire the next generations and showcase Britain’s ethnic minorities.

I created a brand identity for AIB which will be a reference point to create visual assets shown on social media and the website. I devised a post format and interface layout for blog and web content, and make it more legible for followers to consume. I am also AIB's videographer/video editor, as part of the platform's objective to venture into creating short documentaries of the stories of British Asians.

The existing layout provide little context on what the subject would like to share. Therefore, a quote from the interview and caption of the interviewee included in the layout to further contextualise the post.

A range of layouts were experimented until it was decided a minimalist layout, succinctly featuring the two brand colours within the caption was adequate. In addition, we also created an online zine format to enrich the reading experience.

We also launched a mini-docuseries, Stories of Asians In Britain, that captures the lives of UK creatives and other interesting Asians.
