A Chair's Visual Diary (2017)

Exhibited at Major Externality Crisis, Edinburgh.

What if the most mundane objects we interact with in our everyday lives know how we use them, and detects changes in the environment and reimagines themselves accordingly? A Chair’s Visual Diary visualises data gathered from various sensors by presenting a series of miniature chairs altered according to data.

This project serves as a reflection from my work placement of creating miniature chairs. How can offline objects embrace advances in digital technology, to change their functionality and purpose?

Chair models from day 1 across an 8-day trial run.
